Dear Parents,
On this last week of Advent, just a few days before Christmas, we quietly reflect on the mystery of the Incarnation. We rest in awe, in wonder, at how our God entered our world and came to be with us. May our Lord strengthen you in the New Year and may He give you the graces you need to continue being loving families.
Please remember your responsibilities as Catholics during this Christmas break. Christmas day falls on a Sunday this year. Please bring your entire family to Mass on this day. The schedule is as follows:
3:30PM – December 24th Family Mass and Pageant
10:00PM – December 24th
7:30AM-9:30AM-11:30AM – Christmas Day
There are several important parent meetings taking place in January. On January 12th there is a Confirmation parent meeting, this will take place in the A-Hall at 7PM. On January 19th there will be a Reconciliation parent meeting also in the A-Hall at 7PM.
We will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week January 29th to February 3rd. The theme for this year is: Catholic Schools, Faith, Academics, Service. This theme expresses our school’s focus on learning about our faith, striving for high academic standards, and serving our community. Please join us for a special Mass on January 29th at 9:30AM followed by our annual Open House. We are happy and honored to have as our special guest at our liturgy on the 29th, Sister Mary Paul McCaughey, Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago.
On behalf of our entire faculty, I take this opportunity to wish each of you a Blessed Christmas. May the blessings of our Infant King be with all of you. Be assured of our prayers for you during this holy season. May your Christmas be filled with many wonders and may 2012 be filled with many graces and blessings!
